Ayutthaya last two days

Wat Chai Watthanaram

The first day in Ayutthaya we were very enthusiastic and because of that we had only two temples left to see in the next two days. We divided the two temples over those two days and had plenty of time to enjoy it. The first temple we went to see was Wat Chai Watthanaram. That day we found out the reason all temples have Stupas. Stupas are those high round buildings standing next to the temples. They were mend to keep the relics of monks and nuns inside. The feeling of this temple was different. We have no idea why, but it felt more natural or soothing. We loved the place.

Ayutthaya day three

The last temple we visited is called Wat Yai Chaimongkol temple. At this temple where the most people. There were a lot of tourists to climb the Wat Yai Chaimongkol temple and also a lot of Thai people for prayer. At the end of our walk, we saw a white reclining Buddha with a golden blanket over it. The Thai people where dressing it with another one. We think it was some kind of ceremony. Very impressive.

Nightmarket

We have not mentioned this, but the last couple of these we ate at the night market. We tried a lot, even crickets. They tasted salty and a little dry. It was a really good snack to eat, while drinking beer. There were also a lot of coconut candy we tried. Also, very yummy. The best thing we taste was a stir-fried egg with mussels and oysters and fishcakes.
