Beaches of Prachuap Khiri Khan and Cha-Am

The sea, temple and pier in Prachuap Khiri Khan

Prachuap Khiri Khan is a small town with a magnificent view. There is a night market at the beach with very good food. Because of the rise and tides, it is impossible to sun or maybe swim at the beach. We compared the view a little bit with Busan. The first night we were there, the sky had a magical purple glow.

On our first day we went to visit the Wat Khao Chong Krachok temple on top of the hill. On our way up we had to take sticks with us to chase of the monkeys. It was a long way up and we had to rest for several times. The temple itself was rather small, but the view was amazing. After that we went to the pier to sit and watch the view from there.

Cha-Am

Cha-Am is also a touristic place, but it feels the opposite. There are a lot of Thai tourists here. They like to eat by the sea and play in the less deep part of the sea. If you walk on the beach, you will see the types of chairs. The one for the Western tourist, placed against the sea. And the one for Thai, located at the back of the beach in the shade. The beach itself is almost the same as ours in the Netherlands. It is a sandy beach with zee water that can be rather wild.
