South-Korea

First day in South-Korea

Gyeongbokbung Palace

On our first day in South-Korea we visited Gyeonbokgung Palace. This palace is young compare to a lot of things we have seen. But it was still a beautiful place to visit. The guards were keeping watch at the entrance and girls were walking through the palace in old Korean clothing. There were a lot of different buildings to see. It almost looked like a small little village.

Namsangol Hanok Village

Namsangol Hanok Village is a village with a lot of small houses. They look more normal than the houses in the Palace we saw earlier. It was a small village, but an interesting one. The houses existed out of a lot of wood and the walls were only in white. It was very peaceful here.

Gwangjang Market Food Alley

This market was very diverse. We saw a lot of food, fabrics and other materials. The only thing we were interested in was the food. We had a nice bowl of noodles with meat and kimchee wontons. It was very good. One of the things we have noticed, is that the people here spoke very bad English. That makes the communication more difficult. The people seemed to be less open that we were used to. It was a very nice meal, none the less.

For now we are staying in Seoul for a couple of days. See you soon.
