Rainy days

Krabi

From Phuket we took a boat to Krabi. Because we thought it was much nicer. Little did we know that of the six days we spend in Krabi we only had sun on our travel day. The only thing we did, was eating. Every night we walked in the rain to the beach to get some diner at a night market.

To Surat Thani

Leaving Krabi behind we went to Surat Thani. We booked our trip on 12Go Asia and went by minivan. In hope for better weather, we got in our bus. The trip should have taken around four hours. When we were inside our bus, there was another family all over the place and we were in the middle with our legs in our necks. Later on, we met a nice Belgian couple that made the trip a lot better. After a half an hour drive, we had to get out the van and were picked up by another one. This one was much more comfortable. Bigger seats and more legroom. After five minutes we had to change again. They put us inside a really small van again filled with a lot of people. We went on to our end destination.

Our first thought about Surat Thani is that it is very much a boring place. On the other hand, there are little to no tourists here. The most go to the islands or the national park.

We have some interesting plans. Hope day all work out. Our fist wild adventure.

EDIT: Turns out after spending some time in Surat Thani, it turned out to be a pretty relaxed and fun place to be for a few days! We will tell you more about it in the next blog.
