Tsukiji Fish Market, a daytime visit
This week we headed over to the popular tourist attraction called Tsukiji fish market or the Tsukiji Outer Market as often called. This area is famous in Tokyo as this used to be the market where all the freshly caught fish where auctioned off and sold to restaurants around Tokyo. The surrounding area was a hotspot of restaurants and bars and the prime spot in Tokyo to enjoy fresh seafood.
These days the actual fish market has moved to the new Toyosu area but a lot of the restaurants in Tsukiji remain. We wanted to check out the area and see if it was worth visiting this location during the afternoon. It was interesting for sure, but not in a way we expected. Come and explore Tsukiji with us.
